A house survey shows exactly where an old farmhouse sits and what stands around it, which is the first thing any restoration plan needs. Farmhouses collect changes over the years. A porch gets closed in. A drive shifts twenty feet to the left. Someone adds a room, tears out a fence, or drops a shed in the side yard. None of it makes it into the paperwork, so a house survey becomes the only reliable record of what’s actually there.

Restoration work starts from what exists today, not from what the deed says. A survey gives owners, designers, and contractors real measurements to build from instead of guesses.
